Persistent anxiety can cause irritability, fatigue, weight changes, sleep disturbances, restlessness, muscle tension and cognitive impairment. Anxiety disorders affect up to 30% of Americans and upwards up 40% of those diagnosed with anxiety disorders are left untreated. There are many subtypes of anxiety disorders including generalized anxiety disorders, panic disorder, social anxiety, or specific phobias, such as fear of flying.
